8 But if, on the day that her husband comes to hear of it, he expresses disapproval, then he shall make void her vow, and the thoughtless blattering of her lips, by which she bound herself; and the LORD will forgive her.
9 But any vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, anything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her."

The one addicted to warm-weather publicly-immodest quasi-exhibitionism....or getting drunk with alcohol or narcotics....or smoking.....overeating....or whatever other hang-up....must feel that their addiction is wrong, evil, wicked, inappropriate, unhealthy, despicable, and disgusting -- even in view of St Paul's obviously-needing-qualification statement in First Corinthians chapter 6 that "all things are lawful for me" (including running red stoplights?) which is better rendered: "It is lawful for me to suicidally murder myself because the law and agents thereof cannot arrest, fine, imprison, nor execute me for so doing, so law against such does not apply and is irrelevant." Or: "It is possible for me to do anything possible for me to do without first being stopped by law, which does not mean that the law and their enforcers will not then come after me to retaliate against me if I disobey the law."

2. The one addicted must want to promptly stop their addiction, and not postpone nor delay that stoppage.

3. The one addicted must fervently and repeatedly pray to Christ Jesus to cause them to stop their addiction.

4. The one addicted must have a legitimate substitute or replacement against what addicts and has addicted them, and must - by Scripturally-acceptable means and in practical and logically-workable ways - resolve problems and trouble-causing circumstances related to them which have caused or exacerbated continued enslavement to the addiction.

5. The one addicted must, more and more, and eventually completely (as much as possible), disassociate away from close friends and acquaintances (whether relatives or gang members or business-employee associates or whoever) who exhibit and are enslaved by the same addiction but have expressed absolutely no intention whatsoever to do what it takes to stop their addiction.

6. The one addicted must fear God rather than fear humans and worldly human negativisms coming from them (such as demonic critical or sarcastic remarks, discriminatory shunning or quarantine or isolation or other types of satanic exclusion and defamation, financial deprivation, etc.) which deviant and worldly humans can, would, and will impose against the one wanting to break free from the addiction. In their place, one must associate with non-worldly saint-status-desiring Christian friends who are themselves in the process of breaking free from addiction, or have already done so as much as they have, and inwardly desire to keep on doing.

7. The one addicted must have a traumatic experience, or shocking experience of some type, pertaining to something very important or dear to him or her for them to finally stop being addicted to what they are addicted to.
