Little do most (particularly secular) persons realize the very-fortunate residual effects within civilized society in general of living in and being influenced by the moral values of the Judeo-Christian religion and specifically the observations, history, sayings, philosophies, platitudes, admonitions, doctrines, precepts, and more of the Sacred-66-books Holy Bible - parts of which are revered as sacred Text by many Jews and all of which is revered as Scripture by all genuine Christians.

Unlike in war, where direct physical assaults and executions against the targeted enemies sometimes includes "collateral damage" to innocent bystanders not intended to be harmed, so the Christian Holy Bible (in such translations as the King James Version and similar-but-more-contemporarily-worded versions including the NKJV, MKJV, KJ21, and even significant parts of the Revised Standard Version and New American Standard Bible and renditions similar) has had and continues to have blessed and very-favorable "collateral benefits" to others even indirectly influenced by that.

Cultural deviances against, ignorance of, or disobedience against such aforementioned enlightenment can have, has had, and continues to have sometimes unusual manifestations of birth-defect or acquired human-body deformities and occasionally-hideous and gross abnormalities.

It is true, of course, that sometimes the origin and cause of such grotesque human-body peculiarities is hard to determine - whether certain adverse factors within and from non-specified individuals who have lived or are presently living in a society, or even the Devil, or Satan, himself - who is the Original Liar, Sinner, Murderer, and Instigator of Evil and accompanying consequences:

Genesis 3:1 Now the Serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman: "Did God say: 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?"
2 And the woman replied to the Serpent: "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden;
3 but God said: 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" 4 But the serpent said to the woman: "You will not die."

Psalm 5:9 There is no truth in their mouth; their heart is destruction, their throat is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue.

John 8:44 You are of your father the Devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 9:1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from his birth.
2 And His disciples asked Him: "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
3 Jesus answered: "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be made manifest in him.
4 We must work the works of Him who sent me, while it is day; night comes, when no one can work.

The ancient curses concerning birth defects "to the 3rd and 4th generation" related to defective, improper, misaligned, or in aberrant in various ways genetic coding in latent DNA taking the form of malformations caused by parental sinning can be, have been, and are profound:

Deuteronomy 5:6 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
8 You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
9 you shall not bow down to them or serve them, because I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
10 but showing continuous love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments."

Deuteronomy 28:1 And if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock.
10 And all the peoples of the Earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you.
11 And the LORD will make you abound in prosperity, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, within the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.
15 But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your cattle, and the young of your flock.
20 The LORD will send upon you curses, confusion, and frustration, in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings, because you have rejected me.
21 The LORD will make the pestilence cleave to you until He has consumed you off the land which you are entering to take possession of.
22 The LORD will smite you with consumption, and with fever, inflammation, and fiery heat, and with drought, and with blasting, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.
27 The LORD will smite you with the boils of Egypt, and with the ulcers and the scurvy and the itch, of which you cannot be healed.
28 The LORD will smite you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind;
29 and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways; and you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you.
34 so that you shall be driven mad by the sight which your eyes shall see.
35 The LORD will smite you on the knees and on the legs with grievous boils of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
45 All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and his statutes which Hhe commanded you.
46 They shall be upon you as a sign and a wonder, and upon your descendants forever.
58 If you are not careful to do all the words of this Law which are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awful name, the LORD your God,
59 then the LORD will bring on you and your offspring extraordinary afflictions, afflictions severe and lasting, and sicknesses grievous and lasting.
60 And He will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave to you.
61 Every sickness also, and every affliction which is not recorded in the book of this law, the LORD will bring upon you, until you are destroyed.
62 Whereas you were as the stars of heaven for quantity, you shall be left few in number; because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God.
63 And as the LORD took delight in doing you good and multiplying you, so the LORD will take delight in bringing ruin upon you and destroying you; and you shall be plucked off the land which you are entering to take possession of.

All physical deformities, as ugly as they are, are obviously based upon someone's sin, and are clearly unnatural and not what the Creator intended to occur and be displayed. And sinners themselves - whoever they are, whether demonic spiritual beings or demon-infested human beings - are to blame for that:

Mark 7:1 Now when the Pharisees gathered together to Him, with some of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem,
2 they saw that some of His disciples ate with hands defiled, that is, unwashed.
3 because the Pharisees, and all the Jews, do not eat unless they wash their hands, observing the tradition of the elders;
5 And the Pharisees and the scribes asked Him: "Why do your disciples not live according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with hands defiled?"
6 And He replied to them: "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
7 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'
8 You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of humans."
9 And He said to them: "You have a devious way of rejecting the commandment of God to keep your tradition!
14 And He called the people to Him again, and said: "Hear me, all of you, and understand:
15 there is nothing outside a person which by going into them can defile them; but the things which come out of a person are what defile them."
16 If any one has ears to hear, let them hear."
17 When He had entered the house, and left the people, His disciples asked Him about the parable.
18 And He said to them: "Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile them,
19 being that it enters, not their heart but their stomach, and so is evacuated?" Thus He declared all foods clean.

Acts 10:13 And there came a Voice to him: "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
14 But Peter said: "No, Lord, because I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean."
15 And the Voice came to him again a second time: "What God has cleansed, you must not call common."

Genesis 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Romans 14:2 One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables.

Exodus 12:8 They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exodus 12:9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled with water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts.

Deuteronomy 14:4 These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,
5 the hart, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain-sheep.
6 Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof cloven in two, and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
7 Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you.
8 And the swine, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.
9 Of all that are in the waters you may eat these: whatever has fins and scales you may eat.
10 And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.
11 You may eat all clean birds.
12 But these are the ones which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,
13 the buzzard, the kite, after their kinds;
14 every raven after its kind;
15 the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk, after their kinds;
16 the little owl and the great owl, the water hen
17 and the pelican, the carrion vulture and the cormorant,
18 the stork, the heron, after their kinds; the hoopoe and the bat.
19 And all winged insects are unclean for you; they shall not be eaten.
20 All clean winged things you may eat.
21 You shall not eat anything that dies of itself; you may give it to the alien who is within your towns, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner; because you are a people holy to the LORD your God. "You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

Mark 7:20 And He said: "What comes out of a person is what defiles a person.
21 From within, out of the heart of a person, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery,
22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person."
25 Immediately a woman, whose little daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit, heard of Him, and came and fell down at His feet.
26 Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to exorcise the demon out of her daughter.
27 And He said to her: "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."

There are some heretics who claim that disease and deformity are in no way caused by anyone's sin, but merely a random happenstance of mere fate or chance, but the following Scripture obliterates that erroneous misconception:

John 5:12 They asked him: "Who is the man who said to you: 'Take up your pallet, and walk'?"
13 Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, because Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place.
14 Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him: "See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you."
15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.

First Corinthians 15:34 Come to your right mind, and sin no more, because some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

Sin-causers and their addiction-to-whatever or feminist-sexist or anti-disciplinarian/don't-"abuse"-children wimps are often the cause of all sorts on potential and active deformities:

Isaiah 3:12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. Oh my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

First Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be enslaved by anything.

Second Peter 2:19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, because whatever overcomes a person, to that they are enslaved.

Hebrews 3:17 And with whom was He provoked forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

First Timothy 2:8 I desire then that in every place men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
9 also that women should adorn themselves modestly and decently in proper apparel, not with plaited hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing
10 but by good works, as befits women who profess religion.
11 Have a woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.
13 because Adam was formed first, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
15 Yet woman will be saved by bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with sensibility.

First Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared,
3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4 Everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving;
5 because then it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
6 If you put these instructions before the brethren, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
7 Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness;
8 because while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

First Timothy 5:14 So I would have younger women marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the enemy no cause to revile us.

Human-body deformities can not merely be attributed to some vague or non-specified overall attitude of rebellion against God the Creator, but (as somewhat alluded to previously) specific misbehavior plus errant thoughts and actions can be pinpointed as to the cause of various slight or unusual deficiencies at birth and later on in life.

Worship of animals (be they whales, polar bears, or whatever other sundry species are termed: "endangered") and their survival instead of giving priority to humans is one factor, as is superstitious presumption of reincarnation, elevating animals above humankind:

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Matthew 10:31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 12:12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath."
Luke 12:7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!

Romans 1:20 Ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature, namely, His eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
21 because although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to H im, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameful acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct.

Ignorant or deliberate lack of sanitation caused from anti-Scriptural immoral indulgence and/or lazy slothfulness is another cause of future and active deformities:

Deuteronomy 23:10 If there is among you any person who is not clean because of what chances to them by night, then they shall go outside the camp, they shall not come within the camp;
11 but when evening comes on, they shall bathe himself in water, and when the sun is down, they may come within the camp.
12 You shall have a place outside the camp and you shall go out to it;
13 and you shall have a stick with your weapons; and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it, and turn back and cover up your excrement.
14 Because the LORD your God walks within your camp, to save you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, that he may not see anything indecent among you, and turn away from you.

Ezekiel 4:11 And water you shall drink by measure, the sixth part of a hin; once a day you shall drink.
12 And you shall eat it as a barley cake, baking it in their sight on human dung."
13 And the LORD said: "Thus shall the people of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations wherever I will drive them."
14 Then I said: "Ah Lord GOD! hey, I have never defiled myself; from my youth up until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has foul flesh come into my mouth."
15 Then He said to me: "See, I will let you have cow's dung instead of human dung, on which you may prepare your bread."

Leviticus 14:8 And they who are to be cleansed shall wash their clothes, and shave off all their hair, and bathe themselves in water, and they shall be clean; and after that they shall come into the camp, but shall reside outside they tent seven days.
Leviticus 14:9 And on the seventh day they shall shave all the hair off their head; they shall shave off their beard and eyebrows, all their hair. Then they shall wash their clothes, and bathe their body in water, and they shall be clean.

Leviticus 15:6 And whoever sits on anything on which they who have the discharge has sat shall wash their clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.
7 And whoever touches the body of those who have the discharge shall wash their clothes, and bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.
8 And if they who have the discharge spits on one who is clean, then they shall wash their clothes, and bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.
10 And whoever touches anything that was under them shall be unclean until the evening; and they who carry such a thing shall wash their clothes, and bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.
11 Any one whom they who have the discharge touches without having rinsed their hands in water shall wash their clothes, and bathe they in water, and be unclean until the evening.
12 And the earthen vessel which they who have the discharge touches shall be broken; and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.
13 And when they who have a discharge are cleansed of their discharge, then they shall count for themselves seven days for their cleansing, and wash their clothes; and they shall bathe their body in running water, and shall be clean.

16 If a man has an emission of semen, he shall bathe his whole body in water, and be unclean until the evening.
18 If a man lies with a woman and has an emission of semen, both of them shall bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.
32 This is the law for those who have a discharge and for him who has an emission of semen, becoming unclean thereby.

Leviticus 22:4 None of the line of Aaron who is a leper or suffers a discharge may eat of the holy things until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean through contact with the dead or a man who has had an emission of semen,
5 and whoever touches a creeping thing by which they may be made unclean or those from who they may take uncleanness, whatever they uncleanness may be --
6 the person who touches any such shall be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the holy things unless they have bathed his body in water.
7 When the sun is down they shall be clean; and afterward they may eat of the holy things, because such are they food.
8 That which dies of itself or is torn by beasts they shall not eat, defiling himself by it: I am the LORD.'

Second Kings 2:21 Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it, and said, "Thus says the LORD, I have made this water wholesome; henceforth neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it."
Second Kings 2:22 So the water has been wholesome to this day, according to the word which Elisha spoke.

Nehemiah 9:20 You gave your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

Proverbs 5:15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
Proverbs 5:16 Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?

Second Chronicles 29:5 . . . "Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers, and carry out the filth from the holy place."

Haggai 2:12 "If one carries holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and touches with his skirt bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any kind of food, does it become holy?" The priests answered: "No."
13 Then said Haggai: "If one who is unclean by contact with a dead body touches any of these, does it become unclean?" The priests answered: "It does become unclean."
14 Then Haggai said: "So is it with this people, and with this nation before me," says the LORD "and so with every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean."

Zechariah 3:4 And the angel said to those who were standing before him: "Remove the filthy garments from him." And to him he said: "Hey, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel."

John 13:10 Jesus said to him: "They who have bathed does not need to wash, except for their feet, but they are clean all over; and you are clean, but not every one of you."

First Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Ephesians 5:26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word . . .

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit.

First Timothy 5:23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.

Matthew 17:14 And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and kneeling before him said,
15 "Lord, have mercy on my son, because he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly; often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.
16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him."
17 And Jesus remarked: "Oh faithless and perverse generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me."
18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said: "Why could we not cast it out?"
20 He said to them: "Because of your little faith. Truthfully I say to you: if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain: 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."
